Want to Travel With Us? VHG Spring Travel Program ’25 Is Now Accepting Interest From All Drop-In Memembers and General Public!

Posted on November 7, 2024

Vision Hockey Group is happy to get started on its 2025 Travel Program! VHG’s Travel Program was a huge success in 2024; 10 teams, lots of smiles and positive experiences for players and parents. See below for Travel Program Strategy:

Strategy: VHG’s goal in 2025 is to offer a fun and educational opportunity to anyone who wishes to experience a travel hockey trip. Teams will be assembled by the VHG team based on information provided in the registration form. For example – If VHG has 11 interested 2010’s who are playing U15AA in 2024-25, VHG will recruit 4 more players at or around this level and travel to a tournament of like skill level in Eastern Canada.

If VHG has more players than the required number to put a team together – no problem! VHG will recruit players from outside its program (and maybe from outside the province) to fill the remaining positions to make a second or third team in that age division (if necessary).

Age Divisions (2025): Male and Female, 2008,2009,2010,2011,2012,2013,2014,2015,2016,2017,2018.

Please note that for some divisions, age groups may be combined due to tournament parameters.

Tournament Destinations (2025): TBD but will be in Eastern Canada (Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec City, etc).

VHG will not be going to the USA with any of its teams this year. Exact tournament locations will be determined once all tournaments finalize their dates, which then has to match up with VHG staff travel capabilities/public hockey schedules.

Tournament Dates (2025): TBD but will be between Mid-April and Mid-June. Most tournament companies have not announced their spring schedules past a certain date, and the ones that have will likely change them by Christmas so we do not know the exact tournament dates yet.

Cost: $899 taxes included.

With this fee, players receive:

One (1) tournament registration fee

Seven (7) hours of practice time leading up to the tournament

One (1) custom hockey jersey

One (1) pair of hockey socks

One (1) hoodie

One (1) t-shirt (NEW for 2025)

One (1) pair of athletic shorts (NEW for 2025)

One (1) off-ice training session with Power Conditioning

Two (2) Hockey Homework stickhandling videos (NEW for 2025)

One (1) off-ice seminar (NEW for 2025)

One (1) team meal

Coaches fees

Player liability insurance while playing in the tournament.

Off-ice seminar will vary based on age-appropriateness. All players who travel with VHG in 2025 receive an online report card (or an update to their current one) outlining strengths/weaknesses based on viewings from the tournament, along with tips on how to improve during the upcoming off-season.

Goaltending instruction will be offered for the travel program – whether it be technical training from Kelsey Shute or technical skating from Andrew Pearcey. How often goalie coaching is offered will depend on coach availability and ice session style.
