Small Group Skills Training (Fall/Winter/Summer)
Small Group Skills Training
Small Group Skills Training is a great way to improve on specific individual skills in a favourable learning setting. Group sizes are usually CAPPED at 12 skaters (the most you would see in a morning skills session), with sessions often tailored to players’ individual needs. VHG coaches regularly use video analysis technology during sessions to give players instant feedback, with the option to send or share the videos to the players via email for further review. Most VHG morning skills sessions have between 4-10 players with 2-3 coaches.
Small Group Skills Training sessions are generally slower-paced than larger group classes but focus more on specific skills improvement, correction, analysis, and learning. Ice slots for Small Group Skills Training sessions are generally in the mornings (before school) or on school holidays.
Small Group Skills Training is available to all players, male or female.

What About Goalies?
IF you are a V2 member of our VGoal Technical Training Sessions…
SGST (morning skills) will be complimentary
IF you are NOT a V2 member of our VGoal Technical Training Sessions…
There will be two pricing options.
Option 1 (V2 membership) – $150 taxes in, will include a report card done by Coach AP and the opportunity to attend multiple classes per week (if you so choose). This fee is paid up front before the term begins.
Option 2 (Drop-In membership) – $20 taxes in per class, billed @ end of each month.
Conceptually for goalies, SGST will not change. Goalies will see plenty of reps in practice and small area game situations. We often devote a staff member to goalies at the beginning of sessions. There will NOT be a goalie instructor present at SGST.
Goalies can sign up for Summer ’25 SGST by clicking on this link – and scrolling down to select “Goalies (All)” as your class type. Then, you can pick your membership type (V2 or Drop-In) in the box slightly below it.
