Small Group Skills Training (Fall/Winter/Summer)

Small Group Skills Training

Small Group Skills Training is a great way to improve on specific individual skills in a favourable learning setting. Group sizes are usually CAPPED at 12 skaters (the most you would see in a morning skills session), with sessions often tailored to players’ individual needs. VHG coaches regularly use video analysis technology during sessions to give players instant feedback, with the option to send or share the videos to the players via email for further review. Most VHG morning skills sessions have between 4-10 players with 2-3 coaches. Sessions usually run for a full 60 minutes vs the standard 50 minute sessions that most programs offer.

Small Group Skills Training sessions are generally slower-paced than larger group classes but focus more on specific skills improvement, correction, analysis, and learning. Ice slots for Small Group Skills Training sessions are generally in the mornings (before school) or on school holidays.

Small Group Skills Training is available to all players, male or female.
