VHG has added former Junior ‘A’ and minor pro forward Nick Abbott to its staff for at least the remainder of the hockey season.
Abbott – age 21 – played over 100 Junior ‘A’ games across 4 seasons. To see Nick’s playing career statistics, please click here . Nick wrapped up his junior career in 2021 and moved on to pursue a minor pro career in Sweden before returning home over Christmas due to COVID-19 difficulties.
“We are thrilled to have Nick on our staff” said VHG shareholder Adam Pearcey. “Nick not only has experience at higher levels as a player, but also has a private hockey coaching background previously with the Atlantic Ice Warriors and Andrews Hockey. Nick will fit in well with the diverse and enthusiastic staff members that we currently have”.
The Bonavista, NL native will get a taste for the early mornings right away, as he is slated to start working Monday, January 31st. Welcome to the krewe Nick!
