Friday, April 19th @ 1040 am vs Guelph Canadians (@ York Arena) – 5-0 WIN. Shugarue and Drodge split the shutout for VHG in this contest. Lism Cavanagh led the offensive barrage for the 2010’s, while team defence and great back-checking limited the Canadians off-the-rush opportunities. POG Liam Cavanagh for his well-rounded offensive-defensive performance.
Friday, April 19th @ 420 pm vs Barrie Bardowners (@ York Arena) – 4-2 WIN. Nolan Coombs opened the scoring for VHG, but the purple found themselves trailing after 2 periods. VHG exploded for 3 goals in the first 3 shifts of the 3rd period, and the purple weathered a just OK second stanza to go undefeated on Friday. POG Nolan Coombs for some great pinches + stepping up to play out of position on this trip with a positive attitude! Great team win and comeback.
Saturday, April 20th @ 1115 am vs Huskies Hockey (@ Scarborough Arena) – 2-0 WIN. Excellent goaltending effort on this game. The boys did what they had to, and picked up an empty netter.
Saturday, April 20th @ 440 pm vs The Peter Griffins (@ Scarborough Arena) – 4-1 WIN. Four and oh! Andrew Davis led the way offensively with a multi-point night, while both goalies split the POG honours for clutch saves on PK’s.

Friday, April 19th @ 9 am vs Durham Defenders (@ York Arena) – 4-1 LOSS. It was 1-1 after the middle period, but the Defenders speed and tenacious forecheck proved to be too much for the ’11’s. Goaltending for the ’11s has been exceptional so far; Andrews in the early game and Wooley in the second game of the day. Tobin converted a 2v1 pass from Ross for the purple’s only goal.
Friday, April 19th @ 135 pm vs Jolly Ranchers (@ York Arena) – 2-2 TIE. Wooley held the fort until the purple could get their legs in this game. Morgan off a deflection and Winsor streaking down the wing were the marksman. Lane scored in the 3rd (according to video) but was disallowed. The way the cookie crumbles sometimes, back at it tomorrow afternoon! Defensive dog “Woody” in this one.
Saturday, April 20th @ 320 pm vs B-Town Bullfrogs (@ Scarborough Arena) – 6-0 LOSS. The ‘frogs would have given most U13AAA teams from back on the rock a game in this tournament. Goaltending has been spectacular for this team all weekend long. Moving on.
Saturday, April 20th @ 650 pm vs Georgian Bay Owls (@ Scarborough Arena) – 7-1 LOSS. A tough day for the ’11s but a learning day; you come to Toronto to see what’s out there. Lucas Ross converted a 3v2 rush for the purples tally.

Friday, April 19th @ 1145 am vs Dragon Warrior (@ York Arena) – 2-1 WIN. Jake Stockwood with a pair to lead the purple to victory in the opener. Stockwood’s hair was a’flowin on Friday, folks! The purple out-muscled and out-skated their adversaries, and Lucas Kielley made some scintillating saves.
Friday, April 19th @ 345 pm vs Viper Hockey (@ York Arena) – 7-2 LOSS. The 12’s got off to a slow start in this game, but after the first 5 minutes, the game was much tighter.
Saturday, April 20th @ 1205 pm vs MAC Budapest (@ York Arena) – 6-0 LOSS. The 2012’s had an unforgiving day in the GTA. As Randy Pearcey used to say, b’ys, there isn’t a day gone outta next week.
Saturday, April 20th @ 510 pm vs Northern Wild (@ York Arena) – 7-1 LOSS. As Bon Jovi used to say… I’m feelin like a Monday, but some day, I’ll be Saturday night.

Friday, April 19th @ 135 pm vs Cobra Chickens (@ York Arena) – 3-2 WIN.
Saturday, April 20th @ 1010 am vs Northern Wild (@ Scarborough Arena) – 6-1 LOSS. The Wild had a couple of hot shot players that ran wild in this one, but a penalty on the purple 100 feet away from a VHG breakaway was a big momentum swing.
Saturday, April 20th @ 140 pm vs Viper Hockey (@ Scarborough Arena) – 4-1 LOSS. Scarborough Rink was not friendly to our travel teams this trip. Jack Dower with a dandy backhand roof daddy for the purple’s lone goal. Water bottle popper!
