Ryan Stacey

Vision Hockey Group is proud to announce the addition of Ryan Stacey to its Female U18 Development Program staff as a video analyst.

Ryan grew up in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and recently returned from St. Catharines, Ontario where he attended the Brock University Bachelor of Sport Management Program (’20). While in Ontario, Ryan was involved in scouting and analytics with organizations such as the Humboldt Broncos (SJHL), Thorold Blackhawks (GOJHL), Whitby Fury (OJHL) and Newfoundland Growlers (ECHL). Ryan was a member of the Growlers staff for their Kelly Cup Championship in 2019.

Outside of the team setting, Ryan has worked with hockey brands such as TheScout.ca and Stathletes Inc. which supplies analytics to teams at the NHL level.

Ryan currently holds the title of Director of Analytics with the Sarnia Sting (OHL) and runs a small project-based company, StatsCoach, which works with analytics at the minor hockey level. As a hobby, Ryan hosts the Hockey Minds Podcast which talks with hockey operations personnel at all levels of the game about their careers to date.

Ryan is looking to utilize the skills he has learned while outside the province to further develop players in VHG programs. As a hockey development company that takes great pride in utilizing technology to enhance learning, VHG is thrilled to have Ryan on board.
